How did you come to powerlifting or Olympic lifting?
I started Olympic lifting through CrossFit and transitioned to Powerlifting 2 years ago.
Do you have any previous athletic or lifting experience?
5 + years officially being serious about being athletic.
Do you compete? Why or why not? If you compete, what do you like most about the competitions?
I have competed in powerlifting for 2 years and have done 1 Olympic lifting meet.

Do you have a coach or trainer? In person or online? How did you find your trainer/program? Do you have any advice for women looking for a trainer?
I have a remote coach. Been with her for about a year now.
Where do you train? Gym, garage?
I train in my garage. Occasionally I visit my coach.
What is the hardest part about beginning lifting as an older woman?
As I get older it would have to be the recovery.
How has lifting affected your health?
It has made me more self aware on how I need to take care of myself.
What would you tell women just beginning this journey?
Age is just a number. Don’t be afraid to try.
