How did you come to powerlifting or Olympic lifting? |
I went to my son’s first powerlifting meet and fell in love with the sport, the people and the Camaraderie. Nine months later I competed in my first meet. 4 months later I did my second meet and my third meet is 1 month from today. I currently hold SBD state records for Texas in my age/weight class. |

What is the hardest part about beginning lifting as an older woman? |
Thinking I will never get to that weight. And yet I did. |
How has lifting affected your health? |
I feel strong and more confident than in my entire life. My sleep is much improved and just my ability getting around day to day. |
